BROOME, AUSTRALIA

Its been a while since I have written a blog post! But I am back to share with you our recent trip to a small town on the west coast of Australia, Broome. Broome has been on my bucketlist for years now so this was a super exciting trip for me!

We had been invited to Broome by Mangrove Hotel and Biology skin to share our experience in the small region and help promote biology skincare, an amazing Australian natural skin care range free from harmful chemicals, cheap fillers and is not tested on animals. Shop the range here!

Our trip was short, yet oh so sweet, only spending 3 days in Broome experiencing the wonderful stay at Mangrove Hotel and exploring the surrounding areas. Wish we could have stayed for longer!

We arrived off the plane Friday evening, checking straight into the hotel where we were greeted with a bottle of bubbles on arrival. The immediate way to my heart! From our hotel room window we could see fairy lights hanging from tall palms, lighting up an ever so stylish outdoor restaurant that looked over the Roebuck Bay. It was idyllic. One of the vibiest hotel restaurants I had ever seen. A must spot for afternoon drinks and dinner! Just please don’t forget bug repellant!

The next 3 days we spent exploring and shooting at some i n c r e d i b l e surrounding areas which included, Streeters Jetty, Roebuck Bay, Cable Beach, Gantheaume Point, and a few others. Heres some recommendations when visiting these locations.

Streeters Jetty - Go at high tide otherwise the water levels will be low and won’t look as beautiful!

Roebuck Bay - Head down Crab Creek Road to reach the destination in our photo from the area (see below images). The bright red sand contrasting against the turquoise blue water is a sight to not miss. You might need a 4WD, although we didn't have one and drove down, but it is advised as it is off road and rather sandy.

Cable Beach - The most popular beach in Broome! And for a reason! Try plan your trip to Broome for the high tide going out around sunset time. Every afternoon camel rides take place along the beach and the tides can create insane mirror like reflections on the sand. Perfect for photographers to capture a scene like no where else on earth.

Gantheaume Point - Gantheaume Point is where you can locate dinosaur footprints that are estimated to be around 130 millions years old. Although we didn’t see any (mind you we didn’t really look as we were shooting) this point is also a great whale watching spot. I almost screamed as I saw mum and baby emerge from the water in the distance. I also recommend coming at sunset to see the unique shaped rock formations light up beautiful orange and red tones.

SO many other incredible locations to explore and activities to do whilst in Broome! Like I said we definitely needed more time! If you are looking for more information head to http://www.visitbroome.com.au or http://www.broomevisitorcentre.com.au to help plan your trip.
